Wet N Wild Photofocus Loose Setting Powder

I was debating whether to post a review on it, because it's the only powder I've tried (Aver) and I have nothing to compare it to, but because I received a lot of questions afterwards I realized that not all of them know the concept of transparent powder at all, so I decided to post it.

Why do you need transparent powder at all? What is the logic?

First of all, a translucent powder can turn any shiny or greasy look into a matte one. If your skin is too shiny from the sunscreen or gets oily during the day, you can use a translucent powder to give a matte look to the skin. Works like a charm. You can apply in specific places that you want matte or on the whole face.

Secondly, powder sets the makeup, and prevents it from moving and spreading.

In addition to that, when you apply a creamy base and a powder product on top of it, a blotchy appearance can be created. The transparent powder over the creamy product prevents these stains from the powdery products.

Of course, you can also use a powder with a shade, but a transparent powder can be useful for those who don't want more coverage.

I like to use a translucent powder in the concealer area and around the eyes, to set the concealer from getting into the crevices. I like to use a sponge for powdery products, but you can also use a normal (dry) sponge, or a puff.

As I mentioned before, I haven't tried any other powder to compare, but it totally does the job and is cheap, that I see no reason to replace it.
