One of the products that I will always have at home is Uriage's Briderm ointment - it is a heavy and very thick ointment that is zinc-based and soothes irritated skin and a damaged skin barrier on the other. It's a "rescue" cream that works like magic on me and I've been recommending it for a long time.
I use a lot of active ingredients, do experiments on my skin, and yes, from time to time there are breakdowns and a broken skin barrier. When this happens to me, I immediately run to this ointment and it saves me every time.
I wanted to try the rest of their series as well and one of the products I purchased is this serum.
The serum also contains thermal water and zinc, which is a very soothing and restorative mineral. If you've heard of the trend of applying diaper paste on your face - then that's it. This trend is zinc based.
Besides zinc, it contains Centella asiatica - an antioxidant and soothing ingredient, and hydrating ingredients such as glycerin. It does not contain fragrance, essential oils or drying alcohol.
I think this serum is intended more for everyday use and the ointment for emergency situations, since the serum is transparent and absorbs quickly, while the ointment is heavy, greasy and leaves a noticeable white cast.
I tried the serum for about two months every night, but unfortunately I did not see significant results from it, especially not in relation to the ointment. It didn't soothe my skin like I expected.
The fact that the serum is completely transparent makes me think that the zinc is in an almost zero percentage and is not effective enough.
All in all, I recommend investing in the ointment itself, which in my opinion is much more successful than the serum.
You can buy Juraj products in Israel as well, but I recommend buying or ordering from Europe because the prices there are significantly lower.
The brand is cruelty-free 🐰❤️
