Tocobo, Bio Watery Sun Cream

I recently found out that Tukubo is cruelty-free (meaning they don't experiment on animals) so I started experimenting more with their products. If there's something I like to try, it's sunscreens, because it's the product I use the most and the most important step in my skin care routine.

This sunscreen is a new generation chemical sunscreen, containing 5 filters. In addition to protection, it contains other good ingredients such as:

✅ Niacinamide - a favorite and popular ingredient that can help with moisture, strengthening the skin barrier, acne, brightening, balancing sebum production, and P. I. E.

✅ Plant extracts such as sculteria and the bark of the cork tree that are common in Asia and can help soothe the skin, treat acne and are also antioxidants.

✅ hyaluronic acid and glycerin for moisture.

⚠️ It contains fragrance but at the end of the list and therefore probably in a low percentage.

On the surface it seems from the ingredients that this is a great sunscreen, but as I always say - you can't tell everything from the ingredients.

Let's start with the advantages - its texture is very, very light, it doesn't leave a noticeable white cast and leaves a completely matte finish! It is very, very difficult to produce a matte sunscreen that does not drip and they managed to do it perfectly. For those who love matte and have oily skin - this may be the sunscreen you were looking for ❤️

And the cons - first of all it has a terrible smell. Vegetal smell of grass, and not in a bad way. I couldn't survive with it for two days. With all due respect to all the excellent extracts, the experience should also be important.

In addition to that, this sunscreen is very drying. The first application did not dry me out, and at the end of the day after several reapplications my skin felt like the Sahara desert. My skin is dry and in my opinion this cream is completely unsuitable for dry skin! Just fatty.

All in all, if you have oily skin and you like the matte, and are sure you can survive the smell, I recommend it. For anyone else it would be less suitable in my opinion and experience 🙂

The brand is cruelty-free 🐰❤️
