TIAM Body Lotion

We take so much care of our facial skin - acids, retinoids, moisturizers... but what about the skin of the body? Doesn't he deserve respect?! So Tiam's body lotion is perfect for that!

It's a body cream from a Korean company that has been very intriguing to me lately. It contains a combination of very effective ingredients for those who suffer from acne, keratosis pilaris, and skin spots:

✅ salicylic acid - penetrates deep into the pores and cleans them, does physical exfoliation and helps to clean dead cells, treats acne and smoothes texture. For me personally, this is the ingredient that helps me the most for keratosis pilaris in my hands ("strawberry skin").

✅ Niacinamide - a favorite and popular ingredient that helps with a variety of problems, such as maintaining and strengthening the skin barrier, improving moisture, balancing sebum production, treating acne, lightening pigmentation, and lightening acne spots.

✅ lactic acid - alpha hydroxy acid that helps with chemical peeling and cleaning dead cells. Improves the texture of the skin and can also help with keratosis pilaris, spots after acne, and pigmentation. Relatively suitable for sensitive skin because the molecule is large.

✅ Zinc - Zinc can treat acne, balance the sebum production, and also soothe irritated skin.

✅ Bisbolol - soothes and restores irritated skin.

✅ Tea tree oil - perhaps the only essential oil that really has benefits for the skin. It is antibacterial and can help acne. In high percentage it can be very irritating, so be careful never to apply pure essential oil on the skin. When it is part of a large formula and in a low percentage it is good.

✅ fragrance-free.

It does contain alcohol relatively high on the list. Alcohol can increase the penetration of ingredients into the skin but also dry it out. On the other hand, because it is a product for the body, much thicker and stronger than the skin of the face, I don't think it will do any harm. In any case, if you know you have sensitive skin on your body as well - you should avoid it.

Its texture is very light and even almost liquid, and it's pink in color (don't worry it's not visible on the skin 🙂 ). It is absorbed really easily, and you feel that it is Korean because of its lightness and comfort. It is a little sticky so I prefer it in the evening before bed.

I apply it in the evening, on the upper part of the body - on the back where there is a slight tendency to acne, and on the hands on the keratosis pilaris. I wasn't able to be strict every night because it's hard for me to have a routine for both face and body 😂 but I tried, and even though I wasn't strict every night I still saw results. The texture of the skin is smoother, fewer pimples, almost no keratosis pilaris, and the tone of the skin is a little more even.
