Caffeine for the scalp - what are the benefits?

Caffeine is effective in treating hair loss and accelerating the rate of growth. There are studies that indicate that caffeine can prolong the growth phase of hair life cycle - the anagen phase. However, the effectiveness of the penetration of caffeine molecules deep into the scalp is questionable. The penetration of the caffeine molecules deep into the skin depends, among other things, on the caffeine concentrations and the duration of the product's stay on the scalp.

So I tried this serum from The Inkey List, which is a caffeine scalp serum. The company's promise is an improvement in shedding and an acceleration in hair growth, with daily use.

I think the main problem with this product is that the way it is used is unrealistic. what do you mean They say that in order to see results you have to use this serum every day, put an amount that will cover the entire hair, and use it for at least 3 months.

So first of all, the serum is not absorbed by hair and it hardens the roots, so with daily use I have to wash every day - which I don't want and can't do.

Secondly, I have to use a considerable amount to be able to reach the entire scalp, the bottle is uncomfortable and takes a lot of time.

Third thing, the amount here in a bottle is enough for maybe 3 times! If I have to put it on every day, for 3 months, that means buying 30 such bottles😂 Maybe I'm exaggerating because I just couldn't spread it all over my scalp so I used too much serum, but still this amount is really small and not enough for anything.

What's more, the percentage of caffeine in this serum is 1%, and I'm not sure that's enough to see any change.

Regarding shedding results - my shedding only got worse, probably because I stopped using the castor oil that helped me before the shedding. But again, I didn't use what was written in the instructions and not enough time to testify.

I believe that caffeine can help with hair loss and speeding up hair, but this Inky product is simply not realistic to use😟
