I purchased this shampoo when I had an outbreak of dandruff after returning from South America. I remembered that most shampoos for dandruff are unpleasant, very drying, sometimes even contain peppermint essential oil which gives a cooling sensation, and as one with a very dry scalp, I wanted to find one that would save me from this dryness but would remove the dandruff.
So this shampoo is a dandruff treatment shampoo that contains 1% selenium sulfide, which is the ingredient that treats dandruff. Really, after the first use I already saw that there was much less dandruff, and in the second use there was no more at all.
But what was most shocking to me was how my hair felt after shampooing! Mama, how soft hair is! I really don't expect a shampoo to soften my hair because that's something a conditioner/mask is supposed to do, but this shampoo made my hair silky at the roots and now I even look forward to washout days just because of it.
They have several shampoos and I took the version that says Moisturizing and it totally does that.
Besides the selenium sulfide, it also contains aloe vera which probably helps softening. It is indeed perfumed, which is less good for the scalp, but I have hardly seen shampoos fragrance-free (at least the smell is pleasant ☺️). It contains a preservative that I read releases formaldehyde, but at a low percentage it is not dangerous and safe to use.
All in all, I really like this shampoo, I have already bought another stock to have at home and I think I will continue to use it even though I no longer have dandruff.
The brand is cruelty-free 🐰❤️
