A serum I bought in South America during the trip, but you can also order to Israel. I have been using it for 3 months every morning.
It contains 20% vitamin C, i.e. ascorbic acid, which is a very high and effective percentage.
Vitamin C and its derivatives have many advantages - they are effective for lightening pigmentation and unifying skin tone, antioxidants and therefore protect the skin from the damage of free radicals, and ascorbic acid can also encourage collagen production and thus treat and delay wrinkles!
The problem with vitamin C and in particular ascorbic acid is that it is not always stable and can oxidize quickly, and in addition it can also be an irritant. However, for me the serum did not oxidize at all even though I was with it during the trip at different temperatures, and even after 3 months of use it hardly changed color. It also didn't irritate me even when I combined it with glycolic acid.
In addition to vitamin C, the serum also contains aloe vera and green tea that can soothe the skin, reduce redness, and are also antioxidants. It is alcohol/fragrance/essential oils free. It is absorbed quickly and easily and is not heavy.
I combined it with glycolic acid, which increases its penetration, but I did it gradually. In the first month I used it alone, in the second month I combined it with Isntree's essence (4% glycolic and 4% lactic), and in the third month with 7% glycolic from cosrx.
On the trip I got a very slight pigmentation on my forehead and now I'm taking care of it. I started to see a slight improvement in pigmentation in the third month of use, but I don't know if it was due to it, the glycolic 7%, the fact that I returned to Israel and stopped being exposed to the sun every day (I always put sunscreen on, but it's never a hundred), or a combination of everything. I bet on a combination of everything. In any case, I think that in order to treat pigmentation, you should not rely only on vitamin C, but combine several lightening ingredients together.
It is important to remember that vitamin C is also very effective in the long term because it is an antioxidant and promotes collagen, so its results are not always easily seen.
