Olaplex Scalp Serum

Those who have been following here for a long time know that I suffer from hair loss and I have already recommended to you the scalp serums that stop my hair loss, and that I have been using for the past two and a half years. When I was in Madrid, I saw that Olaplex also has a scalp treatment, and even though I was skeptical of the ingredients, I decided to give it a chance anyway, because I really like Olaplex.

Its purpose is to strengthen the scalp to grow healthier and stronger hair, and they don't claim to treat hair loss or hair growth, but I wanted to see what happens anyway.

It contains:

*Olaplex's patented ingredient that restores disulfide bonds in hair and restores it. They claim that this ingredient also strengthens the scalp, but I question that.

✅ ceramides and amino acids - to strengthen the skin barrier and the scalp.

✅ Antioxidants.

⚠️ Lavender essential oil. can irritate

For the purpose of the test, I stopped using the serums that work for me, and used it every day for about two weeks (they recommend using it at least 3 times a week and maybe every day). I applied it with the applicator in several areas and massaged to spread the product as much as possible.

It has the texture of a light cream and unfortunately is very noticeable on the scalp. I felt that the roots were constantly greasy and that it was "dropping" my hair. Apart from the fact that the applicator is convenient, it was very difficult to use and is not practical.

After two weeks of use my shedding returned and I felt that I could no longer continue to test it. It reminded me how much I suffered before I found what worked for me for shedding, and I quickly went back to my serums and what worked for me.

The product may work for those with irritated, very dry, itchy or flaky scalps.

I must also point out that its price is very expensive. It costs almost NIS 150 for 50 ml and does not return the price (at least not for me).

In general, I really like Olplex, but I feel like they can't innovate anymore so they release new products "by force" instead of bringing us the next big thing for hair restoration.
