As you probably already know, I am currently traveling in South America and exposed to the sun a lot. So although my skin didn't suffer too much damage thanks to the sunscreen, my hair did 😟 it got dry and burnt and even partially lightened.
I came across Olplex products in one of the stores in Peru and I remembered that I once read that it can help restore sun damage as well and not just color.
In my previous post about Olplex I talked about 1,2,3, which helped me a lot in the past when I used to dye my hair. I also explained in detail how Olaplex works, so if it interests you, you can read again, but in short - the substance found in Olaplex products knows how to repair broken hair. A genius patent.
The Olplex in oil is number 7, a relatively new product of theirs. It contains a mixture of oils, silicones and fragrance and of course also their active ingredient.
I used it for about a month and a half, and I just fell in love. I did a lot of experiments until I was able to figure out how to use it in a way that was right for my hair. I tried on dry or damp hair, I changed amounts, and in the end I realized that it is best for me to put a little on damp hair from the ends upwards. This way, the oil spreads evenly and does not leave hair greasy and sticky, the opposite - it looks healthy, shiny, and pleasant.
Unlike the other Allplex, it took a while before I saw a change. After about two weeks of daily use, I started to see my hair soften and become shiny. And today I can say that I haven't seen my hair so healthy in a long time.
I think that the very fact that you put much less of the oil than of Olflex 1-2-3, and probably also the percentage of the substance is lower, makes the oil for daily maintenance, and not for treatment that rarely shows a rapid change (as in 1-2-3).
Its smell is excellent but does not stay on hair. It is small and compact which is perfect for me for a trip.
All in all, I highly recommend it. I think it could be great for someone whose hair tends to dry out and wants something to maintain it and keep it healthy.
The brand is cruelty-free 🐰♥️
