You already know that I have an obsession with sunscreens and every new sunscreen comes out I have to order and try! I like their previous sunscreen (the turquoise) so I tried the new one as well.
This sunscreen is part of the very viral Nambuzin NAD+ series, which is characterized by a very long list of ingredients, many types of peptides, NAD+, and many other good ingredients.
Is a long ingredient list necessarily good? Absolutely not. When the list of ingredients is so long, it makes me suspect that most of the ingredients they put in there are minimal and ineffective, and are only there for marketing purposes or to confuse other formulators. In this review, I prefer to refer mainly to the UV filters and ingredients at the top of the list (which is probably a high percentage).
This is a new generation chemical sunscreen that contains 5 different filters. Thanks to the chemical filters, it leaves no white at all. It is SPF50+ and PA++++, which means it protects from both UVA and UVB.
Other key ingredients:
✅ Niacinamide - a favorite and popular ingredient that can help with a variety of skin problems such as: balancing sebum production, lightening spots, strengthening the skin barrier, reducing redness and even treating acne.
✅ Centella asiatica extract - for soothing the skin, reducing redness, and antioxidant.
✅ Glycerin and hyaluronic acid - to moisturize.
✅ Allantoin, adenosine and panthenol - soothing ingredients.
✅ fragrance-free, drying alcohol, or essential oils.
Its texture is light and it is absorbed quickly. The main thing that I found strange about it is that it is called "dewy", which means that it gives shine and glow, but on my skin it was really dull. No matter how much I applied - it stayed matte.
The matte finish also meant that it gave my skin a bit of a dried out look, and because my skin type is dry it's a little less suited for me. I think those with mixed/very oily skin can relate to it.
Please note that it is not water resistant, therefore it is not recommended to do sports activities with it or enter the sea/pool. On me it is even a little runny in the heat outside (for the office it will fit perfectly).
All in all, even though I think this series is a bit gimmicky, it is really a very successful sunscreen, and I will recommend it mainly to matte lovers who are looking for a light sunscreen.
The brand is cruelty-free 🐰❤️
