Minimalist Scalp Serum

I started using curlsmith's scalp serum about a year and a half ago, and it completely changed my hair - it removed the terrible shedding I had, and lengthened my hair to lengths it had never reached. After I told you the secret, it's out of stock and right now it's very hard to get it 😣

That's why I was looking for a serum to replace it, and after a whole day of searching the internet, I came across a minimalist serum, which is very similar to it in terms of ingredients.

Minimalist is an Indian company in the style of The Ordinary. It turns out that The Ordinary didn't ship to India for a long time, so the genius Indians decided to create their own "The Ordinary". A lot of their products are copied from The Ordinary, and I guess this serum is inspired by The Ordinary's scalp serum.

In terms of ingredients, it is almost identical to curlsmith and The Ordinary serum.

✅ Capixyl complex 5% - a combination of the peptide Acetyl Tetrapeptide-3 and red clover extract. The peptide helps to reduce hair loss.

✅ Redensyl complex - a mixture of 4 plants. Stimulates growth, strengthens hair, thickens it, reduces hair loss.

✅ Baicapil complex - a mixture of 3 plants. Stimulates growth, strengthens hair, thickens it, reduces hair loss.

✅ AnaGain complex - based on pea sprouts. Helps hair look fuller and thicker.

✅ biotinoyl tripeptide-1 peptide - known for its ability to encourage stronger hair growth, reduce shedding, and accelerate growth.

✅ Castor oil - there is not much research around, but there is a lot of evidence that it helps with hair loss and growth.

✅ Zinc, green tea and scultaria - relax and contribute to a healthier scalp.

✅ Additional plant extracts such as pea sprouts, soybeans and wheat, which are said to help with shedding or encourage hair growth. However, I'm not sure how scientifically based it really is, but it's probably harmless.

✅ fragrance-free, alcohol, or essential oils.

My experience:

I ordered the product from Amazon and because its quantity is half of the curlsmith serum I pre-ordered 2. I used every day in the evening and it was enough for me for a month and a half.

From my experience, as soon as I stop using the curlsmith serum, the shedding returns, so here is what I wanted to check that the shedding does not return and that it actually does the same effect as curlsmith.

In the first month there was really no change, and after a month I saw a slight deterioration. It was not on the same level as my usual shedding, not at all! But I did feel that he was a little less good than curlsmith. I don't know why because the ingredients are really almost the same (but we also don't know the exact percentages of everything and the quality of the ingredients).

Another small disadvantage is that it is a bit greasy. It doesn't matter so much to me because my scalp is dry, but it might be a disadvantage for an oily scalp.

I can't vouch for a long-term effect because I haven't used it long enough.

All in all, I do still prefer curlsmith because at least it worked a little better on me, but it's definitely an excellent product and it's a product I would buy again when curlsmith is out of stock.
