Those who have been following here for a long time already know how much I love KraveBeauty's Great Barrier Relief serum, so when their body cream came out I already knew I had to try it.
For those who are not familiar with this serum, it is a serum designed to maintain our skin barrier or treat a damaged skin barrier.
What is skin barrier?
The skin has a layer that protects it from environmental damage. It prevents water loss and the penetration of harmful substances inside.
If you have ever reached a situation where your skin is red, burning, peeling and dry, you may have broken your skin barrier. This can be for example from the sun, from excessive use of acids and fragrance and alcohol in care products.
Their ingredients are very similar - both contain: Temano oil, rosehip oil, and ceramides, which have skin barrier restoration properties. The body cream also has panthenol, and in contrast, the serum has oats and niacinamide, which is not in the body cream. Here, too, these are 3 perfect ingredients for a damaged skin barrier.
Of course, it does not contain fragrance, essential oils or alcohol, which may damage the skin barrier.
I used the cream for both body and face (and there is no problem with that). My skin type is dry, and as it is on the inside, so is it on the body and even worse. So my skin on my body literally drinks it up and loves it. It turned out that I used it during a time when I had itching, probably from an allergy to something unknown, and it really helped to calm the condition of the skin (I don't think it was what solved the problem, but it helped me deal with the itching).
In terms of texture, they feel the same to me, maybe the serum is a little lighter. The texture is creamy and a little greasy, not too heavy.
Both have a smell that probably comes from one of the oils. I actually like the smell but I know there are some who don't like it.
The main problem with the serum is that it is very inaccessible for me, it costs about NIS 100 for a quantity of 45 ml, whereas the cream contains 200 ml and costs less, which is significantly more affordable.
I think people with dry or sensitive skin can really like this cream.
You can order from the believef website.
The brand is cruelty-free 🐰❤️
