Kaine Retinal Serum

For a long time I was loyal to boj's retinal (excellent!), but I decided to try to look for competitors and see if it is possible to surpass it. Thanks to a follower who recommended I came to this product ❤️

I also apply retinoids to my eyes and neck to delay skin aging, but since these are thinner and more sensitive areas I use retinoids that are gentler than tretinoin (Ratavit).

Briefly about retinoids - retinoids are actually different derivatives of vitamin A. When applied to the skin, they help speed up the rate of skin turnover and thus help improve the appearance of wrinkles and delay them, and treat pigmentation and acne. The downside of retinoids is that they can be irritating to the skin, and break down easily, so the formula and skin type make a big difference here. Retinal is a type of retinoid that undergoes only one conversion to get to tretinoin (which is considered the best retinoid), making it both effective and gentle (relatively speaking). ⚠️ Must combine with sunscreen!

Let's get back to talking about Kaine's Retinal 🙂

✅ It contains 300ppm retinal which is a little more than boj's retinal.

✅ Caffeine - can reduce swelling around the eyes, and also an antioxidant.

✅ Panthenol and Centella asiatica - for calming and reducing irritation.

✅ Glycerin, betaine and hyaluronic acid - to moisturize.

✅ Niacinamide - a favorite and popular ingredient that can help with moisture, strengthening the skin barrier, acne, brightening, balancing sebum production, and P. I. E.

*Argireline - a peptide that is usually compared to botox because it works in a similar way and reduces the movement of the muscles, but it is probably at a zero percentage here and is not effective.

✅ fragrance-free, drying alcohol or essential oils.

I have been using it for the last 3 months, only in the evening, for the eyes and neck. It's not an eye cream originally and I was worried it wouldn't work, but it was just fine. At first my skin took a while to adjust to the increase in percentages and my eyes were a little red and my dark spots were only emphasized more, but after a few weeks the skin adjusted and the redness disappeared. I had no irritation on my neck at all even though my neck is usually sensitive to retinoids. The texture in the neck improved a little, and in the eyes I didn't see a dramatic change, but I guess the effect is more preventive.

There is also a nice amount of 50 ml here, with a fun pump packaging. In my opinion, this is an excellent retinal, and for those who want to progress in percentages after boj, I really recommend it. Can be applied all over the face.
