Isntree released another sunscreen for the onion series. I didn't rush to buy the previous one, because it is based on old-generation chemical and mineral filters, which are less than ideal. I assume that the second sunscreen is intended for the American population, where the new-generation UV filters are not yet approved. The new sunscreen for the onion series, based on 5 chemical filters, all of the new generation.
It is also SPF50+ and PA++++, compared to the previous one which is SPF40.
Besides the chemical filters, it contains other good ingredients:
✅ Niacinamide - a favorite and popular ingredient that can help with moisture, strengthening the skin barrier, acne, brightening, balancing sebum production, and P. I. E.
✅ Onion extract - not very scientifically based, but it is said that onion extract can help scars after surgery. That's why the branding of this series is for scars, but I'm a little skeptical about it. Onion is also antibacterial so can help a little with acne (I wouldn't rely on it as a main acne treatment).
✅ Additional moisturizing and soothing ingredients such as glycerin, arginine, and hyaluronic acid.
✅ Without drying alcohol, essential oils or fragrance.
I will note that it also contains a vitamin C derivative, but it is towards the end of the list and probably has no effect at all. I feel like they put it in for the gimmick, to say that there is vitamin C in there. It doesn't hurt but I doubt it does anything:(
Its texture is completely liquid and easily absorbed. It does not leave a noticeable white cast. Unlike the sunscreen with their hyaluronic, it does not leave a glow, and more of a matte-natural look, which is of course a matter of personal taste.
My skin is dry and I felt that during the day it dries me out. I don't know exactly what's in there that causes it, but then I saw that they really intended it for oily-combination skin. I don't think it's a bad product, it just doesn't suit my skin type, and I recommend it more to those with oily skin.
