At this point I have tried almost the entire onion series of Isntree, and I must say that with all my love for this brand, I could not understand the onion products and they are probably not suitable for my skin.
I have been using the serum for more than 3 months every morning (yes, it contains a large amount).
According to the manufacturer's promises, this is a serum intended for acneic skin, treats pigmentation, and strengthens the skin barrier.
In terms of ingredients:
✅ 81% onion extract - not very scientifically based, but it is said that onion extract can help scars after surgery. Onion is also antibacterial so can help a little with acne (I wouldn't rely on it as a main acne treatment).
✅ 5% panthenol - soothes and strengthens the skin barrier.
✅ tranexamic acid - a relatively new ingredient in the skincare world, but very promising. It is a ingredient mainly intended for the treatment of pigmentation and P. I. E (spots after acne). Another great advantage of it is that it is relatively non-irritating. Unfortunately, since the tranexamic acid here is low on the list, I am not sure that it is an effective percentage.
✅ Niacinamide - a favorite and popular ingredient that can help with moisture, strengthening the skin barrier, acne, brightening, balancing sebum production, and P. I. E.
✅ Caffeine - antioxidant and reduces puffiness.
✅ free of fragrance, alcohol, and essential oils.
Unfortunately, during the entire long period that I used it, I did not feel a change that I can credit it for. Its texture is also completely watery so it felt like applying water on the skin. I have a feeling that most of the work here is the panthenol and the niacinamide (which I already had in my routine before), but maybe it will be more suitable for oily skin.
The brand is cruelty-free 🐰❤️
