Isntree - Hyaluronic Acid Fresh Sun Serum

I bought this sunscreen when I was in Korea at Olive Young, and despite the similar packaging, it is a new Isntree sunscreen from the hyaluronic series, not their old blue one.

The main difference between it and the first (watery sun gel) is that the first is a very shiny and glossy sunscreen, and the new one is designed to be more matte and less shiny, and it really is. The downside is that the cream feels a little dry on the face and tends to crumble a little (something that is very common in matte sunscreens).

It contains 5 chemical filters that are all of the new generation, and in this respect it is better than the shiny one.

In terms of the other ingredients, it contains:

✅ Niacinamide - a favorite and popular ingredient that can help a variety of skin problems such as:

Balancing sebum production, brightening spots, strengthening the skin barrier, reducing redness and even treating acne.

✅ panthenol and allantoin - two great soothing ingredients that can help reduce irritation and strengthen the skin barrier.

✅ Hutina cordata and Centella asiatica - two herbal ingredients that are very popular in Korean cosmetics because of their ability to calm the skin and reduce redness.

✅ Several types of hyaluronic acid molecule in different sizes. The idea behind this is that molecules of different sizes can provide moisture in different layers of the skin, and this is what their line is based on.

✅ There are also moisturizing and softening ingredients like glycerin, squalane, propanediol and butylene glycol - a pretty classic combination that helps keep the skin moist and pleasant.

✅ There are also some antioxidants here, such as vitamin E, a derivative of vitamin C, and Ectoin - a relatively new ingredient in the skincare world that can help protect the skin from environmental damage and soothe it.

✅ Another interesting ingredient is Lactobacillus Ferment, which is a fermented ingredient that can contribute to strengthening the skin barrier and balancing the microbiome of the skin.

✅ fragrance-free, drying alcohol or essential oils.

In terms of texture, it is also very light and creamy like a classic Korean sunscreen, and it doesn't leave a noticeable white cast marks since it is chemical. I don't think I'll buy it again because of the caking and the dry, hard feeling it left on me, but I think maybe those with more oily skin will be able to relate to it, because finding a good matte sunscreen that's also light on the skin can be challenging. As someone with dry skin who prefers the shiny look, I prefer their watery sun gel 🙂
