Inkey List Salicylic Acid Cleanser

First of all, what is salicylic acid?

Salicylic acid is an acid from the beta hydroxy family (BHA). It dissolves in oil, penetrates deep into the pores and cleans them, and helps to shed dead skin. Because of these properties of salicylic acid it is very effective in treating acne, cleaning oily skin and preventing blackheads or whiteheads.

It is effective at a very low percentage and in most countries 2% of salicylic acid is the maximum percentage that is allowed to be in the product.

My skin is relatively dry, so I usually don't tend to use salicylic acid, after all, my skin doesn't produce much oil anyway and I prefer not to dry it more than necessary, so I haven't had the chance to talk about salicylic until now, even though it is a very popular acid.

Inky's soap contains 2% salicylic acid, which is the maximum percentage, and is fragrance-free or alcohol. Salicylic acid in the soap is effective but gentler than a product left on the skin. In addition to this, it contains a type of zinc that can also help with acne and balance the sebum in the skin, but I'm not sure that it is particularly effective when washing.

I have keratosis pilaris on my hands (the red dots behind the arm), so I'm always looking for solutions to smooth the area and the salicylic acid really showed fast results and smoothed the skin with daily use, and I'm super satisfied😊

I tried using it on my face once or twice and it didn't suit me that well, it was too drying for me, which makes sense because my skin is dry and it doesn't need anything else to dry it out. I believe that the soap is more suitable for those with oily skin and not for everyone.

All in all, this is a simple and cheap soap that will probably suit your needs and skin type☺️
