Hamish released a new sunscreen with tint, and even though I was disappointed with their previous sunscreens, and I'm almost always disappointed with sunscreens with tint - I decided to give it a chance 😂
One of the advantages of tinted sunscreens is that they contain titanium dioxide and iron dioxide that can protect against blue light, and thus excellent for those who suffer from melasma (hormonal pigmentation). I don't have melasma but I like to look for good options for you 🙂
The sunscreen is based on 6 chemical filters, only one of the new generation 🙁 which means that you have to be extra careful when renewing it, and it may irritate those who are sensitive to older-generation UV filters.
It also contains niacinamide - a favorite and popular ingredient that can help with moisture, strengthening the skin barrier, acne, brightening, balancing sebum production, and P. I. E.
It contains fragrance but right at the end of the list (low percentage).
In terms of the shade, it suited me perfectly. Its coverage is low enough for it to be realistic to use sunscreen. Most sunscreens with tint are not intended for people who know how much sunscreen to use (a lot!), then the coverage is too high and looks bad. Here this is not the case at all and the coverage is fine enough.
My main problem with it is the same problem I had with their other sunscreen - it's too shiny. It really contains glitter that makes you look like you dipped in highlighter, and that's not a good look 😂
I think it's cute only with a thin layer, and not with a thick layer of sunscreen (as it should be applied).
All in all, I didn't like it very much. Even in terms of the composition it is not wow and also in terms of how it looks on the skin. Maybe it would be nice as a glowing primer but not as a sunscreen.
The brand is cruelty-free 🐰❤️
