Hanmi Pharmaceutical Eye Cream

I heard about vitamin k for the first time a few years ago in the context of darkness around the eyes, but this is the first time I get to try a product with vitamin k. I saw the recommendation for this product from a pharmacist in Korea and purchased it there to try.

First of all, what is vitamin K anyway?

Vitamin K is a care ingredient that focuses mainly on blood vessels - it participates in blood clotting processes and therefore can help reduce bluish dark circles under the eyes and accelerate the recovery of hemorrhages. It is mainly suitable for spot use, such as the eye area or after treatments. From a scientific point of view, it makes sense, but in terms of research, it does not yet have strong evidence. I decided to give it a chance anyway, because why not.

In terms of percentages - usually it is put in concentrations of up to 1%, in this product it is in a concentration of 3%, which is quite a lot.

I used it around my eyes in the morning for about two months. My darkness comes from a combination of thin skin, prominent veins and anatomical structure, so I expected to see a change, but to be honest I didn't notice a difference. Many times I felt that it also irritated my area for some reason, so I pretty much neglected it.

The formula contains other good ingredients such as niacinamide, panthenol, probiotics, vitamin C derivative, and more. So it's not just vitamin k.

All in all, I wasn't too thrilled with my first experience with the ingredient, but it was nice to try and maybe I'll give it another chance in the future.

In general, if you visit South Korea, besides Olive Young, it's worth going to pharmacies. There are special things there in high concentrations and at really funny prices (this cream cost me NIS 30 for example).
