Glow Hub Pore Polish Facial Exfoliation

I received the product for review from Superpharm. The scrub is a combination of chemical and physical peeling. That is, it contains both granules that physically scratch the skin and salicylic acid that chemically exfoliates the skin. Chemical peeling dissolves the "glue" between the dead cells and the healthy skin and thus the dead cells separate from the skin more easily.

The granules in this scrub are from walnut shells, they are large, uneven in size and do not melt in contact with the skin, which makes them very aggressive to the skin and not suitable for my face in my opinion. Grinds of this size can cause micro tears to the skin and are really not recommended. I liked to use it specifically on the body in places where the skin is thicker and stronger, and even then I used it gently and did not rub it hard.

The salicylic acid penetrates deep into the skin and cleans the pores, so it is effective in treating acne, cleaning oily skin and preventing blackheads or whiteheads. However, using physical peeling in acne is not recommended because the grains can damage pimples and create scars, and also drag bacteria around the face.

In addition, the scrub contains cleaning ingredients, sunflower oil, squalene oil, shea butter and cocoa butter, which gives it cleaning properties and a creamy texture but also leaves a greasy layer if not cleaned afterwards with soap.

The product contains fragrance, but it is a washed product so the irritation potential is low. I personally didn't like its smell.

In conclusion, I think that peeling is very, very aggressive for the skin of the face and really not ideal, but for removing dead skin on the body (for example on the feet) it can be very effective.

Glow Sr. declare that they do not experiment on animals and their products are vegan. They don't seem to be sold in China or under a different company. Which makes them cruelty-free 🐰♥️
