Glow Hub Hemp Hydrating Moisturizer

I received the product for review from Superpharm.

The cream is part of the soothing green series of Gloo Hav and is intended for dry or irritated skin.

My first impression of it is the very strong fragrance. As soon as you open the jar, you can't ignore it. Its smell is very strong and I'm not used to fragrance in skincare so I had a really hard time with this strong fragrance. The smell also reminded me of car perfume if that makes any sense.

In terms of texture, it is a cream and not really a light gel cream as they describe it, it even felt more like a body cream to me.

When I applied it to my face immediately my skin started to burn! And I'm talking about real burning and not mild tingling. At first I didn't understand what happened because I didn't remember that there was any active ingredient in there and I'm not sensitive to fragrance at all, but then I read the ingredients again and in more depth and understood what must have happened.

It contains glycerin, jojoba oil, shea butter, hemp oil, which are all great ingredients for moisturizing and softening, but also contains a lot of fragrance. Often the word "perfume" in the ingredients contains a lot of other hidden ingredients under it and we cannot know what is there (by the way, another reason to avoid fragrance in skin care). However, in Europe there are 26 ingredients that must be written separately because they have a very high potential for irritation and allergy. In this cream of Gloo Hav, besides the word "perfume" there are 4 other ingredients that are so allergenic that it is mandatory to mention them in the list!

So even though I'm not sensitive to fragrance my skin burned from the cream. I'm not saying this will happen to everyone, probably for most people it will be fine, but this is my experience. In any case, it is possible to develop an allergy to fragrance over time, so it is better to avoid it as much as possible.

What is most strange to me about the product is that it is designed to soothe irritated skin. I can't understand the logic behind naming a product that should be for people with sensitive skin, and adding 4 fragrance ingredients with a high potential for irritation. This somewhat contradicts the point of the product.

All in all, I personally didn't like the cream and my skin did not like it at all😕

Glow Sr. declare that they do not experiment on animals and their products are vegan. They don't seem to be sold in China or under a different company. Which makes them cruelty-free 🐰♥️

I am currently checking with the company to confirm this for sure. I will update 😊
