Drmtlgy Sunscreen

I found the recommendation for this pair at Dr. Dry, for those who don't know her, she is a dermatologist who has a YouTube channel with lots of professional information about the skin world🤓

These are 2 mixed sunscreens spf45-46, the difference between them is that one has a tint (a little color) and one without. They contain:

  • Zinc 12% - mineral sunscreen (leaves a noticeable white cast). Suitable for sensitive skin and very stable. Can also help with acne and redness.
  • Octinoxate 7.5% - an old generation chemical filter, not very stable and only protects against UVB. (disadvantage)

Niancinamide - restores the skin barrier, balances sebum production, helps with acne and redness and many other benefits

  • Vitamin E - antioxidant
  • hyaluronic acid - attracts moisture to the skin

fragrance-free or essential oils ☺️

I'll start by talking about the first one, without the tint - I'm surprised by how almost completely transparent this cream is compared to the fact that it contains 12% zinc, which usually leaves a noticeable white cast! It is creamy, very pleasant on the skin, non-greasy and unnoticeable. You can use it alone, use it and put on a little make-up over it, or do like me and combine the sunscreen with the tint.

The tint is more liquid and less creamy, light and pleasant. The coverage is not high at all, more like a cc cream.

The color will match the shades of the medium, not very dark and not very light. On the leaves the color looks like a subtle natural tan. You can see the shade on my hand in the second picture.

I usually combine both - one layer of the normal one, and on top of that a layer with the tint to neutralize the white residue from the mineral filter.

If you want a higher coverage, you can only use tint.

Please note that at first the cream looks greasy and takes time to dry, give it a few minutes and you will see that it becomes a natural finish (not matte and not too shiny).

Every good thing also has disadvantages:

The cream is in a large and heavy pressure pump, which in total is only 50 ml of cream that needs to be renewed during the day. It is not convenient to take it in a bag, it opens in the bag and is only suitable for large bags, and the lid has already broken for me. I really like pressure pumps for other things because it's sterile, but for sunscreen that needs to be available and accessible - it's just not suitable❌

Because of this drawback, I prefer to use it in the morning and renew with another sunscreen during the day, or use it on the days I'm at home.

The brand is cruelty-free 🐰♥️
