Dear, Klairs - Maple Energy Infusing Cream

I purchased this cream at the official Klairs store in Seoul (which closed about a month after I was there 😢). This is one of my favorite companies. I love it so much that the cream in my profile picture is their cream from the Midnight Blue series 😂 but this cream is from their relatively new series - the Maple series.

The ingredients in it are very special, and in first place on the list (and in the highest concentration) is the ingredient that the series is based on - maple sap (liquid from a maple tree). It is rich in sugars, minerals, amino acids, and antioxidants. It is excellent at maintaining moisture over time, strengthens the skin barrier, and protects it from free radicals. It is very suitable for sensitive skin, and is considered an expensive ingredient.

Besides the maple, the cream also contains:

✅ Glycerin - to moisturize. Glycerin is found in almost every cosmetic product due to its effectiveness and safety.

✅ squalane- softens and strengthens the skin barrier.

✅ Licorice - anti-inflammatory, soothes redness.

✅ 3 types of peptides that improve skin elasticity and can encourage collagen creation.

✅ Centella asiatica- for calming, strengthening the skin barrier, and antioxidant.

✅ Adenosine - found in our skin naturally, and can strengthen the skin barrier, restore it and calm it down.

✅ Retin - antioxidant.

✅ fragrance-free, drying alcohol, or essential oils.

I have to say that I have been using it for a few weeks and my dry skin is addicted to it! It keeps moisture, pleasant on the skin, gives a gentle glow, calms the skin. It's just wow. I didn't think Klairs could top their blue cream but I'm glad I was wrong, because it really is amazing.

In terms of texture, it is more than the thick ones, so if you are looking for a light cream or gel, it will not suit you. I like it in the evening especially in the winter when my skin tends to dry out. Its only drawback is that it comes in a jar, but that makes sense for creams that are relatively thick.
