COSRX The 6 Peptide Skin Booster Serum 150mL

After a long time without reviews, I want to come back with an interesting Korean product that I have been using for the past few months.

It is defined as a peptide serum, but its texture is really liquid so I call it a toner and use it as a toner.

It contains 6 peptides that do different things:

✅ SH-Polypeptide-121 - for antiaging and calming the skin.

✅Copper Tripeptide-1- copper peptide, encourages the creation of collagen and elastin (antiaging), improves skin elasticity.

✅ Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 and Dipeptide Diaminobutyroyl Benzylamide Diacetate- 2 peptides that are considered "Botox in a jar", because they do a similar action to Botox in reducing muscle movement. Keep in mind that this is not really a botox replacement and there is a lot of marketing behind it, and I also highly doubt that they put the peptides in a high percentage.

✅ Oligopeptide-68- peptide brightens and treats pigmentation. It is also probably not in the researched percentage because it is relatively low in the list of ingredients.

✅ Palmitoyl Tripeptide-8- soothes the skin.

Besides the peptides, it also contains niacinamide, glycerin, and amino acids, for moisturizing and strengthening the skin barrier.

fragrance-free, drying alcohol or essential oils.

Kosrex advertise on their website that they did a clinical study on the product and demonstrated an improvement in skin texture, an increase in moisture, an improvement in pigmentation, less blackheads/whiteheads and excess sebum, and it really seems a bit like they are marketing this serum as an all-in-one serum.

So what do I think?

I haven't seen any crazy improvement on myself, just moisture, but I also don't deal with pigmentation/wrinkles so I can't vouch for that.

I very much doubt that the peptides here are in the researched percentage, because otherwise this product would probably cost 300 dollars and not 30 dollars, but for the price it's fine. I have a very strong feeling that what really makes the product is the glycerin, niacinamide and amino acids, and not the peptides 😂 but again for the price it's completely fine and you can't say it's a bad product.

In my opinion, it will suit all skin types, and for those who want to experiment with peptides at a relatively affordable price, just don't expect miracles and wonders 🙂
