Beauty Bay Butter Cup Cleansing Balm with Oat Lipid and Camomile

It's an oil-based cleansing balm, so it's designed for the first step in double cleansing, and it's designed to gently remove our makeup and sunscreen at the end of the day.

For those who are not familiar with the double cleansing method - we will start with dry skin with an oil-based cleanser (balm/cleansing oil), wash a little to break down all the makeup and sunscreen, add some water to change the balm to milky, and then wash and move on to cleaning with soap.

Beauty Bay's balm contains almond oil, besoo oil, sunflower oil, oats, and an emulsifying ingredient. It also contains chamomile extract which can be soothing, but it's at the very bottom of the list so I doubt it will have any effect.

In addition to the good ingredients, unfortunately it also contains fragrance and eucalyptus essential oil. They are probably in a low percentage, and they didn't irritate my skin nor my eyes, and they don't bother me when the product is washed off, but I don't like the smell of eucalyptus at all, and that's my main problem with this product.

Except for the smell - it's really great. Emulsifies very easily, gently and effectively cleans even long-lasting makeup. It is also very accessible (currently costs NIS 44 for 90 ml before discounts).

All in all, I recommend it, but take into account the smell of eucalyptus. It's a "natural" smell that some like and some don't.

*Note that they changed the packaging but it is the same product.

The brand is cruelty-free 🐰❤️
