Anua - Niacinamide 10 TXA 4 Serum

When I saw the ingredient list of this serum, the first thing I thought of was pigmentation and post-acne spots. There is a very impressive combination of several lightening ingredients that work in different ways, along with moisturizing, calming and skin barrier strengthening ingredients.

So what does it contain?

✅ 10% Niacinamide - Niacinamide is one of the favorite and popular ingredients in the skincare world, and not for nothing. It can help lighten spots, balance sebum secretion, strengthen the skin barrier, improve moisture and treat acne. 10% is considered a relatively high concentration, so even though the ingredient can be excellent, this concentration can be problematic for some people (it's individual).

✅ 4% tranexamic acid - a ingredient that is mainly intended for the treatment of pigmentation and spots that remain after acne. One of its great advantages is that it is considered relatively gentle and suitable for sensitive skin.

✅ 2% Arbutin - a lightening ingredient for pigmentation that helps delay the process in which the skin produces melanin.

✅ 3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid - a relatively stable derivative of vitamin C. It is an antioxidant and can contribute to brightening and uniformity in skin tone.

✅ Betaine Salicylate- a ingredient that works similarly to salicylic acid, but is usually considered gentler. It can help remove dead cells, clean pores and gently improve texture.

✅ Several types of hyaluronic acid - to moisturize.

✅ Centella asiatica, panthenol and ceramide NP - for soothing and strengthening the skin barrier.

✅ fragrance-free, drying alcohol, or essential oils.

I used the serum in my morning routine, every day, for 2-3 months. I had a lot of expectations since the ingredient list looks great, but actually after a long time, I didn't see a significant change on my skin in lightening the spots.

From my experience there are brightening serums that worked better for me, but it can also be individual. It is probably better for maintenance and prevention and less effective for intensive treatment.

In relation to the affordable price (about NIS 60 on Korean websites, as of today) I think it's totally worth a try, especially for red post-acne spots (P. I. E).

I'm interested to hear if you've tried it and what you think of it.

The brand is cruelty-free 🐰❤️
