I don't think there is a product that has reached the level of hype that Anua's cleansing oil has reached๐ I received dozens of requests to try it. I couldn't understand what was so special about the ingredients, but because they asked for it in the end I tried it too.
It contains:
โ ๏ธ Ethylhexyl Palmitate- a softening ingredient that is in first place on the list. The problem is that it is comedogenic (โ ) and therefore can be problematic for oily/acneic skin. For the most part, comedogenic ingredients don't really have an effect when it comes in a low percentage and part of the formula, but when it's in the first place on the list (and probably in a high percentage) it's important for me to mention it. For me personally it didn't cause problems and my skin got acne, but keep in mind.
โ Sunflower oil, macadamia oil, jojoba oil, grape seed oil, moringa oil, and olive oil - good vegetable oils that contain fatty acids and antioxidants.
โ ๏ธ fragrance- may cause the skin. In products that are washed, the risk is low. It didn't bother me personally.
The oil cleans well even make-up and long-lasting mascara, and emulsifies easily. I have acneic skin and despite the comedogenic ingredient it didn't make my acne worse, but that's an individual matter. I didn't really like the smell.
To me it's a good cleansing oil, but I didn't really get the hype. I feel that it is no different from any other cleansing oil that I have tried, and some are better than it. In my opinion, its marketing is a bit out of proportion, but it's not a bad product.
The brand is cruelty-free ๐ฐโค๏ธ
