In the previous post I told you about The Ordinary's retinol in squalene, what retinol is and in general what retinoids are (and if you haven't seen it, you want to see it 😉). In addition to retinol for the face, I use a body cream with retinol!
I made this purchase following the fact that I found several studies in which they tested the effectiveness of retinol in the treatment of cellulite and saw a significant improvement. These studies were done over 6 months and I've only been using the cream for 2 months, so I didn't see a change (and I didn't expect to. I have the patience of an elephant, did I say?) but of course I'll let you know if I do. What I did see was a significant improvement in stretch marks, but I believe it's mainly because I just made sure to moisturize the area and it made the skin more flexible and smooth.
The cream has a relatively heavy texture and is not absorbed so easily, but on the other hand gives a lot of moisture. I think it is completely tolerable. I use it every night before bed.
Besides retinol, it contains aloe vera, glycerin, and other softening and hydrating ingredients. It does not contain alcohol, essential oils or fragrance which is really rare for a body cream, and it is odorless.
There is a huge amount here in relation to the price, which is really worthwhile and fun.
